Privacy Policy

Understand how we collect, use and look after personal information.

This policy explains how It's Noa Pty Ltd (ACN 698 453 477) handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which govern how personal information is collected, used, stored and disclosed. You can read them at oaic.gov.au.

Two kinds of data

It's Noa provides a customer intelligence platform to retail businesses. Our clients connect their own customer data to the platform, and we work with that data only on their instructions. It remains theirs, governed by their privacy policy and our agreement with them.

If a retailer holds data about you and you want to see it, correct it or have it removed, contact that retailer. They will come to us if they need to.

Everything below concerns the second kind: information we collect and use for our own purposes, mostly through our website and in the course of doing business.

What we collect

If you request a demo, subscribe to our mailing list or get in touch, we collect what you give us — usually your name, work email, company and role.

If you visit our website, we collect technical information about the visit: your IP address, browser and device, the pages you looked at and where you arrived from. We use Google Analytics for this, which relies on cookies. You can turn cookies off in your browser, though some parts of the site may stop working properly.

We may also come across your details through public sources such as company websites or LinkedIn, or be introduced to you by someone else. If we do, we will tell you when we first make contact.

We don't ask for sensitive information — health, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, and similar categories defined in the Privacy Act. If you send it to us anyway, we will only use it for the purpose you provided it, with your consent, or where the law requires.

What we use it for

We use personal information to answer enquiries, arrange and run demos, keep in touch with people who have asked to hear from us, understand how our website is used, and run the business.

You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us.

Who we share it with

We use third-party providers to run the business — website hosting, email, analytics and marketing tools. Some are based overseas, mainly in the United States. Where we send personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled in a way consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 8.

Beyond that, we share personal information with our professional advisers, where the law requires or permits it, and if we ever sell or restructure the business.

We don't sell personal information.

How we look after it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption, access controls and choosing providers with established security practices. No system is completely secure, and we can't promise otherwise.

We keep personal information for as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or strip out the details that identify you.

Getting access, or making a change

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@its-noa.ai and we will respond within 30 days.

There is no charge for making a request, though we may charge a reasonable fee if it takes substantial work to put together. We may also ask you to confirm your identity first.

If something goes wrong

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, inform us at privacy@its-noa.ai and we will investigate it immediately.

If our answer doesn't resolve things, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes

We update this policy from time to time. The current version is always here, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
